”They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:42). What about Sunday School? We have six Sunday school classes: preschool, younger elementary, middle elementary, older elementary, teen, and adult. The youth classes use Great Commission Publications (GCP) curricula. The teen class studies the Westminster Shorter Catechism through a two-year GCP program called, Bible Doctrine. The adult class is currently studying Systematic Theology with Pastor Ferry. Sunday School Coordinator Brenda Ferry is the Sunday School coordinator for the children’s classes. She orders the material on a quarterly basis: Spring, Summer, Winter, and Fall, in a two-year cycle. Supplies are located in the filing cabinets downstairs in the fellowship hall. Each teacher has a list of available substitutes, and is asked to find his or her own substitute from that list when needed. If a teacher is unable to find a substitute, please contact Brenda. Week Night Studies Pastor Ferry leads several other studies during the week. On Wednesday evenings we have lessons in New Testament Greek, followed by a Bible study on the book of Revelation. This is an outreach Bible study which meets at Mobys Coffee in Mt. Airy. On Thursday nights we study the Westminster Confession.
